Membership is open to anyone who has an interest in sculpture, whether as an active sculptor or someone who appreciates sculpture and wants to promote it as an art form. There are two classes of members: Active Members and Junior Members. Active members are any person age 19 or older who is current on their dues for the year. Junior Members are any person age 18 or younger who are sponsored by an Active Member.

The benefits of membership include:

Free admission to all SOS membership meetings and programs (All Members)
Voting on all issues presented for a vote at membership meetings (Active Members)
Participation in all members-only exhibitions (All Members)
Reduced fees for entry into SOS-sponsored juried exhibitions (All Members)

Membership is based on a calendar year. The annual dues amount for Active Members is $40 per calendar year. The annual dues amount for Junior Members is $20 per calendar year. To be in good standing the current years dues must be paid.
