Somatosensory: Related to the Senses
The exciting tactile exhibition is back for a third year!
Have your sculptures explored through touch as patrons and visitors of the Carnegie Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped (CLP-LBPH) interact with your sculpture.
This exhibition was noted by the Library of Congress in their presentation of the 2018 Regional Library of the Year Award to CLP-LBPH.
“Somatosensory 2018: Relating to the Senses, where attendees with visual impairments could feel the features of the sculptures while listening to descriptive recordings by the artists.”
Each sculpture will again be accompanied by a headset playing an artist recorded statement.
Check out the cool video by Thomas Holmes from the 2017 exhibition.
